Per-user IT pricing
Billing a flat monthly amount for each employee, covering every device and account that person uses.
Under per-user pricing an employee with a laptop, a desktop, a phone and a tablet is one charge. That is the whole appeal: the bill tracks headcount, which finance already forecasts, rather than an device count that drifts every time somebody upgrades a phone.
It also removes a bad incentive. Under per-device billing, adding a machine costs money, so people quietly do not report the spare laptop in the cupboard that is still on the network and still unpatched.
The thing to check is what counts as a user. Some providers bill shared mailboxes, service accounts or contractors as seats. A clean definition is a person who needs help.
What it costs
Market rate for a full agreement is $100 to $200 per user per month. We publish a single per-person rate with a stated monthly minimum, and you see both once you tell us your headcount.

How much does IT support cost per employee?
$100 to $200 per employee per month for a full managed agreement in 2026. Remote-only plans with a narrower scope sit at the bottom of that range rather than below it, and the scope is what you should be comparing.
Do shared mailboxes count as a user?
They should not. A user is a person who might need help. Ask directly, because providers differ and it changes the bill.
